                            Disadvantages of Amazon FBM

When it comes to starting a business, Amazon FBM can be a great option for many entrepreneurs. It’s a relatively easy and cost-effective way to start selling products online. But with any business, there are certain drawbacks that must be considered. Here are some of the disadvantages of setting up an Amazon FBM business.

1. Inventory Management:     Managing inventory can be challenging with Amazon FBM, as you need to order and stock products before they can be sold. This requires extra capital, as well as the time it takes to track and manage inventory.

2. Shipping Costs:   When selling items through Amazon FBM, you’re responsible for the cost of shipping each item. This can be a significant expense that cuts into your profits.

3. Price Competition:   With Amazon FBM, you’re competing against other sellers for the same product. Prices for the same item can vary significantly between different sellers, which means you have to make sure you’re pricing competitively in order to remain competitive.

4. Limited Support:   Since Amazon FBM is primarily self-managed, you don’t get the same support as you would with Amazon’s Fulfillment By Amazon (FBA) service. This means if you encounter any technical issues or have questions about how to use the platform, you’ll need to find answers on your own.

These are just a few of the disadvantages of running an Amazon FBM business. While this type of business can offer a great way to get started selling online, it’s important to understand the potential risks and costs associated with it. Doing so will help ensure that your Amazon FBM business is successful.
